"Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for December, the National Football League announced on Thursday.

Manning completed 123-of-174 passes (70.7%) for 1,399 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions (108.4 rtg.) in the month of December while leading Denver to a 5-0 record and the top seed in the AFC. He became just the third quarterback in NFL history (Kurt Warner, 2001/Drew Brees, 2011) to lead his team to a perfect record in the final month of the season while passing for 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns in addition to completing 70 percent of his passes."
